Texts, like houses, are often created in a certain way.
They usually follow a main design. They are always planned before they are created. And there are features and parts that are recognisable to most people. When you are analysing, there are structural and linguistic features you can recognise in texts. And when you are creating a text, just like building, you need to plan before you start: What do we want our finished writing or speaking to look like? What should it do? How will we write it? What words will we use? Planning before writing helps us write really well the first time. (And not have to do all the work again because we made mistakes.) Planning saves us time. |
